 What are your store hours?

We are open Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm and Sundays 12pm-6pm.

When do new comics arrive?

New comics arrive every Wednesday morning at 11am.

What do you carry?

As Charleston's premiere comic book and toy store, we carry a wide range of products including modern and vintage comics, graphic novels, Funko Pops!, super hero toys, Transformers, Star Wars, statues, and much more! Check out our Facebook page for pictures!

Do you buy/trade old comics?

Yes, we do buy and trade comics, toys, and anything else we carry. We purchase collections of all sizes and offer free, no obligation evaluations in just a few minutes.    

If we agree on a price, we can write a gift card or check on the spot. 

When can I sell/trade?

We typically look at collections Monday - Friday from 12pm - 6pm. Thursdays are generally the best day. We recommend giving us a call before bringing them in to ensure a buyer is present.  Please contact us at 843-766-6611 or email us at info@captainscomics.com for any other questions. 

Do you buy, sell, or trade sports cards, collectibles, or memorabilia?

No. We do not do anything with sports cards, collectibles, or memorabilia.

Do you buy, sell, or trade Super Hero, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, or Pokemon cards?

No. We do not buy, sell, or trade Super Hero, Yu-Gi-Oh, or cards in general. We do carry the latest booster packs for Magic occasionally.

How does your subscription program work?

Our subscription program is a simple, convenient way to never miss your favorite comics!  

A minimum of 5 titles each month are required for a subscription. Discounts apply to all new arrival comics from the past 6 months.

The discounts are as follows:  

• No discount: 5-9 titles per month
• 10% discount: 10+ titles per month

Edit your subscription as often as you like in person, by email, or by phone.*

​Only $10 for a lifetime subscription!  

Can't get in regularly? Mail order options available!

*When dropping a title, please purchase the issues that we have already held and discontinue with next issue.

Can you do special orders?

Yes! Though we have the largest selection in town, we may be out of an item that you are looking for. We are happy to place special order for comics, toys, statues, and more , often times with no money upfront!
